Join fellow Shivas Irons Society members for two days of incomparable golf, exquisite dining and wonderful fellowship on two exclusive golf clubs just outside of St. Paul, Minnesota, on Saturday September 12 and Sunday, September 13. Your co-hosts Dr. Mark Mammel and Charlie Mahar, along with Shivas Executive Director Ben Kline are excited to spend two days of golfing magic with you. In addition to fine golf and fine dining, we'll learn about the rich golf history in the land of 10,000 lakes.

The Courses:

Somerset Country Club was founded in 1919 and was designed by legendary golf architect Seth Raynor. The course features classic template holes including Redan, Biarritz and Eden. It is a par 72 parkland style course that stretches to 6,728 yards from the tips. It has undergone renovations by notable architects including Stanley Thompson, Robert Trent Jones and Rees Jones. Somerset hosted the 1956 U.S. Senior Amateur and 1995 U.S. Senior Women's Amateur tournaments.

White Bear Yacht Club was founded in 1889 in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. In 1912, a nine hole golf course was added to the club. Several years later, the course was expanded to its current 18 holes. Famed golfers such as Harry Vardon's brother Tom and outstanding amateur golfer Jimmy Johnson shaped the legacy of WBYC. The course was originally designed by William "Willie" Watson in 1912 and with historical ties attributed to Donald Ross. It's a wildly rumpled layout and features five par 3s and five par five holes over 6,471 yards.

Cost: $850 – Includes two 18-hole walking green fees, dinner on Monday evening. Carts and push carts are available.

Availability limited to 16 golfers including hosts
